Hello lovely readers
In my mission to show the world a little bit more of Zürich on this blog I thought I could share with you today one of my favorite restaurants in the city. It’s called Moudi’s lecker Garten which means “Moudi’s delicious garden” and by looking at those colorful, amazing pictures I think you’ll know why 🙂
Two amazing guys stand behind this restaurant, Moudi and Hassan. Moudi is the founder of Moudi’s lecker Garten and Hassan worked out the special concept. By now there are already 3 Moudis (lecker Garten, lecker Cafe and Moudi bar). These restaurants are all about the modern Lebanese cousine. Not a small number of plates (such as beetroot hummus and avocado hummus) are their own creations but they also have traditional Lebanese dishes like kafta skewers and Baba Ganoush. They don’t serve pork and they have Lebanese chefs in all three restaurants.
If you have the chance to visit one of the three restaurants you’ll discover the familiarly atmosphere, it’s like you’re at a friends house (especially since they have most of their furniture and tableware from a second hand shop – very charming!). And this is exactly what is important to Moudi and his crew. The staff doesn’t just treat you like a regular guest and they are not just nice to you because you’re a costumer, they go the extra mile and make you feel very very welcome. And I can say that because I’ve experienced it. In our society that’s not something I take for granted. The staff is super nice and warm and they put their hearts in this restaurant which you can feel – and taste! 😉
I can tell you guys beeing a blogger has its perks! The team spoiled Sina Lou and me with so much food (yes there were only two of us and yes all the food on the pictures was for us lucky girls!) by the end we were almost laying on the floor but not dying of pain because the food is actually super light! Funny fact is, they don’t put garlig in their dishes. In my opinion a great idea especially when you eat that amount of food! Also if you order Mezze for two you never get the same thing twice in a row, they always surprise you with something new, which I think is a lovely gesture.
So with that said I wanna thank Moudi and his crew and especially Michèle for giving me the opportunity to share this special place with the world. We really tried to capture the unique Moudi spirit in these pictures and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
As always wish you a lovely time until I talk to you next <3
Ps: by the way when you eat there next time you have to try the lentil salad (the cold one) and Sambusek! Those are my faves!
