Hello lovely Readers
As we’re in the middle of Winter-season I wanted to share with you my beauty essentials to go thorugh this incredibly cold yet beautiful time of the year (and by go through it I mean come out of it with a glowing teint and amazing skin 😉 )
All products in this post were chosen by me and are not sponsored so these really are some of my favorite products at the moment. As you know it’s important for me to stand fully behind the content I share with you. I’ll explain the details to every product down below but I can already tell you that all the products were not tested on animals.
The Renaissance Zürich Tower hotel was so nice as to provide us with an Executive Suite for the occasion. Compliments to their beautiful interieur and incredibly kind staff, we felt very welcome. Since we shot another content there too you’ll see a little bit more of the suite in a future blogpost.
With that said I hope you enjoy these pictures and let me know what your winter beauty essentials are.
I wish you a lovely Christmas time with your friends and family <3
ROSE QUARTZ LUMINIZER by Kora Organics
Kora Organics is one of my all-time favourite beauty brands. Why? Have you looked at the founder Miranda Kerr? She’s a true inspiration for me. Not only does she look amazing but I also like the principles she stands for. She’s natural and believes in positive affirmations and the power of stones and crystals and loves to meditate and do Yoga. While I haven’t discovered Yoga for myself yet, I’d like to work on my mental health by focusing on positive thoughts and maybe be a little more balanced.
I have to admit this is the first luminizer I’ve tried for myself but I love it so far. I apply it with my fingers and it leaves a gentle and fresh glow on my cheeks. This luminizer is a pastell pink shade and was energized with Rose Quartz which is said to encourage self-love and self-acceptance. All the more reason for me to love Miranda and this product.
If you want you can learn a little bit more about this way of thinking and Miranda Kerr by her books (there are two and I already mentioned them in this blogpost)
THE RITUAL OF SAKURA BODY CREAM by Rituals
This is the first product with the name Sakura (cherry blossom in Japanese) I want to show you. It’s a body cream with a very rich and creamy texture with ingredients such as Cherry Blossom (obviously) and Rice milk. It hydrates and wraps your skin in an amazing scent the whole day.
NONI GLOW BODY OIL by Kora Organics
Another Kora Organics product I simply adore. Especially during winter my skin often gets dry to the point where I want to give it an extra help to hydrate a little bit more. This oil is perfect for that. I love to use it after a bath (which even though is incredibly relaxing is said to dry out your skin) all over my body. The smell is delicious and it leaves the skin nourished and shining.
SAKURA CREME by EviDenS de Beauté
With my soon 25 years I have to start confronting myself with a very important word, and once you said it you can’t go back: Anti-aging. There, I said it ugh! 😉
Since I always like to discover new brands I had to try out this new line by EviDenS de Beauté. This cream is especially for young women “dedicated to fight first signs of aging”. It also acts as a protective shield against pollution and external aggressions. The texture is very creamy and smooth and absorbs into the skin quickly. After the application my face feels fresh and soft.
This is the second Sakura product but what can I say, I just love Cherry Blossom
DRY SHAMPOO by Klorane
While searching online for the best dry shampoo I came across this very helpful article or I guess you could call it ranking by Reviews.com where the Klorane Dry Shampoo was the test winner. Since Klorane is a Swiss brand I was very curious about this product and wanted to try it out immediately. I can tell you it’s amazing. I’ve tried many dry shampoos in the past but somehow there was always a feeling of unease left after using them. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it and thought maybe it was my fault not using it correctly. But with this Klorane dry shampoo the bad feeling’s gone. My hair looks completely clean, there are no residues left and it feels very natural.
Ps: There are many more dry shampoo recommendations in the mentioned article in case you want to check it out (for instance: fine hair, oily hair etc.)
HONEY TRAP LIP BALM by Lush
Okay I have a little confession at this point but it has to stay between us 😉 Every time I pass a Lush store on the street, the intense scent almost knocks me off my feet. Do any of you have that too? I’m not saying it’s bad – it’s just very very very intense haha But once in a while I just have to go inside and check out their amazing products. Last time I was there I laid hands on this cute little lip balm. I always have a lip balm in my purse this one smells delicious and leave my lips smooth and soft.

Thanks for the lovely comment <3
Thank you for these wonderfull suggestions! My skin is longing for some care.. nice location by the way 🙂
Thank you very much 🙂
Wow – really wonderful pictures, I love the different colors and mix of flowers and beauty products!
The Renaissance Zürich Tower Hotel looks also really nice.
I’m also curious in trying the dry shampoo since I haven’t been successful neither with the tested dry shampoos. Lush, which also supports human rights NGOs, is also one of my favorite soap shops.
Congrats Clarissa for this wonderful post! 🙂
Thank you very much Lucia, I bet you’re going to be pleasantly surprised with the Klorane Dry Shampoo then, I sure was! 🙂
Beautiful pictures and interesting products, hope I can try them out soon!
And if you want to try out pilates (a little different from yoga) let me know, you can come with me 🤗
Thanks Wanida, I think I’ll take you up on that Pilates offer, would be fun to try something new 😉
Thanks so much for the recommandations. I’ve been looking for good products that wheren’t tested on animals. So I’m looking forward to trying some of these.
Also, nice photos and location!!! 😄
Thank you, I’m glad you liked it. Animal testing is a very important topic to talk about so that we can make a difference 🙂
